Hanwag Makra Pro GTX - Men's approach shoes

The Makra Pro GTX is just as suitable for demanding mountain tours with glacier passages as it is for easier high and rocky tours in summer. The lightweight and stable all-rounder is equipped with a waterproof GORE-TEX membrane and durable Perwanger upper leather. A combination of PU, TPU and EVA is used for the lightweight yet particularly stable midsole. PU in the heel - with an integrated TPU bar support - ensures perfect cushioning, while EVA in the forefoot area ensures precision when stepping off. The Vibram® Makra outsole offers excellent grip. A dreamteam! "Hanwag 2 Zone Lock" with a mechanical clamp ensures improved heel hold. In contrast to a conventional clamp hook, the mechanical clamp locks reliably and can no longer slip after fixing - without manual intervention. A feature of the Makra family is the optimized Ghilly lacing up to the toe area - the laces are pulled through textile loops. The foot therefore has a good hold even in the front area and in a mid-height model, and you are stable in the boot. The Alpine Wide last offers a slightly wider forefoot area for more comfort - but this does not mean that the shoe loses any of its climbing performance and precision in the kick.
