Are you passionate about nature? So are we!

As a company that not only sells clothing and equipment, but also deals with sports and the outdoors on a daily basis, nature is very important to us. In order to protect our environment, contribute to its protection and preserve it for future generations, we have already implemented the following measures as part of our day-to-day work:

1. shipping bag made from 100% recycled material

To ship our goods, we use sustainable mailing bags made from 100% recycled plastic, which can be remelted into new plastic when disposed of. Our mailing bags are environmentally friendly and do not contain any harmful substances. They can be safely disposed of in the yellow garbage can or at the recycling center. We also work with several different sizes of packaging so that we can pack orders as efficiently as possible.

2. shipping in original packaging

Where possible, we ship our goods directly to our customers in the original packaging. On the one hand, this saves packaging material and, on the other hand, our customers can look forward to untouched products in the manufacturer's original packaging.

3. climate-neutral shipping with DHL

Every single shipment to our customers has an impact on the environment. We are aware of this and therefore see it as a matter of course to make a contribution to climate protection through climate-neutral shipping. As the world's largest logistics service provider, our shipping service provider DHL sends parcels as part of the GoGreen environmental protection program.

4. resource-conserving returns management

Thanks to our careful returns management, we produce far less waste and thus protect the environment. The goods that our customers send back, for example because they do not fit or are not to their liking, are checked by our team. Items that are neither damaged nor soiled are repackaged and stored. We donate goods with minor defects that do not further restrict their function to various places. Only in exceptional cases are items permanently discarded by us.

5. modern building and electricity from our own production

When we built our new company building in 2023, we naturally made sure that everything was as climate-friendly as possible. For example, there is a high-performance photovoltaic system on our roof that supplies our company headquarters, including offices, AutoStore system and heat pumps, with solar energy. We feed the surplus electricity into the power grid and thus also support the regional supply of climate-friendly electricity. In addition, our employees have the opportunity to charge their electric vehicles with climate-friendly electricity at one of the four charging stations.

6. product range with sustainable products

Product selection plays a decisive role when purchasing goods. It is important to us that we offer products in our online store that have been manufactured under regulated and fair conditions. Among other things, we refer to the information provided by the Fair Wear Foundation, which inspects local production facilities in order to permanently improve working conditions in the textile industry.

Some of our products also have the Bluesign label, which is an environmental label for sustainable textile management. We also offer many PFC-free products from manufacturers who use alternative and environmentally friendly impregnation methods in the production process. When it comes to down products, it is also important to us to offer items that have been manufactured in accordance with sustainable standards, such as the Traceable Down Standard or the Responsible Down Standard.

We also work with size charts that are as precise as possible and detailed product images to avoid returns. Our customers can find even more detailed information in our detailed product tests in our blog. There are also tips on how to care for the products purchased to extend their durability even further.

7. modern employer

Yes, this is also part of sustainability. We offer our employees ergonomic workstations and high-quality work materials and, where possible, give them plenty of freedom to organize their working hours. Most of our meetings with external partners and customers are held online and we reduce business trips to a minimum. Respectful and appreciative interaction within the team is just as much a part of our everyday working life as equal opportunities, diversity and work-life balance.

All of these measures are now part of our day-to-day work and are implemented consistently. Nevertheless, we are of course not resting on our laurels, but are constantly looking for new ways to make our store, our product range, our processes and our company even more sustainable.
