La Sportiva

The way to an all-round outdoor brand
La Sportiva was founded in 1928 by the shoemaker Narciso Delladio, in Tesero (Trento) and is still 100% owned by the Delladio family. While in the 20's leather shoes were produced for forest workers and farmers, in the 50's the production of ski boots was started. In the 1970s, as plastics played an increasingly important role in the production of ski boots, the company ceased its involvement in this sector and from then on concentrated entirely on the mountain and climbing sector.
After moving to the new factory in Ziano di Fiemme at the foot of the Dolomites in Trentino in 1996, the company continued to expand. Since 2010 La Sportiva has also made a name for itself in the clothing sector. Today, La Sportiva produces alongside the large industrial footwear centres in Italy, in another 70 countries around the world.

Innovative and decisive
Already in 1996 La Sportiva set standards in the climbing sector. With the model "Mirage", the first climbing shoe was launched on the market, which enables the foot to stand on the steps as well as "pull" them.
While La Sportiva was initially only known in the shoe sector, the brand is now seen as a b>complete outdoor brand
.In addition to advanced clothing lines for mountain sports such as hiking, skiing, climbing or trail running, the brand offers a wide variety of footwear as well as innovative four-buckle models for ski touring shoes.

Success in every way
Important awards such as "Save the Brand", for meritorious companies of the Made of Italy, as well as a recognition in the "Compasso d'oro International" catalogue in the category "Sport Performance and Innovation" with the Stratos Hi-Cube model, among others, show the success of the "La Sportiva" brand.
