Working in the footwear industry for years, the 4 founders Lou Panaccione, Paul Brown, Juan Diaz and Steve Ligett combine a lot of experience to find and establish new trends and innovation.

OOFOS was born from the idea of finding a material that absorbs shock and allows quick recovery after an intense workout. After the endless production of prototypes, the OOfoam™ technology was developed. In combination with the patented bio-mechanically engineered footbed the created shoe can absorb 37% more impact than other footwear materials. The footbed makes walking easier and the foam helps to recover quicker after sports. In 2011, the first pair of OOFOS was sold. In addition to the original sandals, there are also sneakers that can be worn in work or everyday life.

What makes the difference

First it feels a bit unfamiliar, as it is very soft. The foot is placed in a natural position and the weight is distributed evenly. After a short time, it is noticeable that there is less stress transferred to the body. There is less pressure on the joints and the muscles can relax more quickly after sports activities, such as running, hiking or biking. Since OOFOS shoes are very light, it is no problem to take them anywhere. By passing 37% less stress to the body and reducing the effort on the ankles by 47%, the shoe is not only a regeneration shoe, but also for people who are on their feet the whole day in the job.
