Backpacks for every need
Osprey has been producing high quality backpacks for over 50 years. Starting with daypacks and backpacking packs, the range now includes backpacks for outdoor sports such as hiking, cycling, mountaineering and winter sports. The backpacks are ideally adaptable to any back. Osprey is also the official backpack partner of the German Hiking Association as well as the official "luggage and backpack" supplier of the DSV federal teaching teams of the German Ski Association.

Optimal carrying comfort due to the back system
The size and fit of a backpack guarantee optimal performance and comfort. The back system plays a special role here: it influences the load capacity, ventilation and comfort. Osprey uses three different systems depending on the purpose of the backpack: AirScape™, AirSpeed™ and AntiGravity™. The first two are mainly used in backpacks for hiking, cycling, trekking or lifestyle, while the AntiGravity™ is used for trekking backpacks or for carrying children.
The AirScape™ is characterized by a back plate with foam rib. This keeps the weight close to the body, but the back is still ventilated. Mesh materials wick sweat away from the back and thus provide cooling. The system can be found on both light day packs and larger trekking backpacks. It is also more stable than other back systems, making it more suitable for fast pace activities.
The AirSpeed™ system, on the other hand, has more ventilation than other back systems. Therefore, backpacks with this technology are better suited for activities in warm weather. A ventilated back panel made of stretched mesh creates an air space between the backpack and the back for optimal ventilation and comfort.
The AntiGravity™ technology is mainly integrated in backpacks for carrying heavy loads. It combines a three-dimensional suspension with a tensed lumbar support, which together provide exceptional weight distribution without neglecting ventilation.

Contribution to environmental protection and nature conservation
By using high quality materials and fabrics, Osprey ensures durable and high quality products. Reusable materials and recycled packaging materials are used, and the latter are kept to a minimum.
Osprey also aims to protect nature so that everyone can enjoy it. The manufacturer therefore supports various nature and environmental protection projects, such as a project for the protection of birds of prey by the European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA) in Georgia, which is dedicated to ending the illegal hunting of birds of prey. Another large-scale project was the Mountain Wilderness Project in partnership with EOCA. The aim of this project was to protect nature in five important Alpine regions and to preserve it for the future. The problems in these mountain regions ranged from abandoned tourist facilities to barbed wire and river pollution.
