Cross-country ski poles are at least as important as cross-country skis on the trail, as a large part of the drive comes from the upper body and arms. In addition to the length, the material plays a decisive role. While aluminium poles are often used for beginners, ambitious cross-country skiers prefer high-quality carbon poles.
