Rossignol

Expertise for over 100 years
The founder and namesake of the French ski brand was Abel Rossignol, who laid the foundation stone with the first wooden skis in Voiron in the Rhône Alpes in 1907. Rossignol became internationally successful in the 50s after the sale to Laurent Boix-Vives. By 1970 the company had even become the world's largest ski manufacturer.
In the 2000s, Rossignol was sold first to Quicksilver and then to Chartreuse & Mont Blanc. Under the new management, production was transferred from Taiwan back to France in 2011 and the two ski factories in Sallanches and Artès were thoroughly modernized with an investment of 12 million euros. The skis thus received the "Origine France Garantie" certificate.
Over the years, further sports manufacturers were bought up and the product range was extended to include ski boots, bindings, clothing and bike and trail equipment. However, winter sports equipment still accounts for 70 percent of sales. The Rossignol Groupe includes Dynastar, Lange, Felt, Vertical and Dale of Norway.

With innovation and expertise to success
Rossignol also equips top athletes in Alpine and Nordic skiing as well as in skicross and freeride. The Rossignol team, which includes professionals such as Tessa Worley, Henrik Kristoffersen and Simon Schempp, has already won numerous World Cups and Olympic Games.
Innovations such as Dynamic Line Control (DLC), among others, are responsible for the brand's success. This hydraulic damping is attached to the front of the race ski and provides more stability and control for the perfect line. Freeride skis are equipped with the Air Tip 2.0 tip. The new 3D honeycomb pattern scores with width, lightness and stability. Protectors and Air Bag Vests are also part of the French brand&aposs range.
