RTM 84

The RTM 84 will always put a smile on the face of advanced to very good skiers with its impressive handling characteristics, on icy slopes as well as in fresh snow. Equipped with UVO and GripWalk- compatible WideRide XL binding and manufactured with Full 3D sidewall and 3D.Ridge core, the RTM 84 with Extended Tip & Tail Rocker simply convinces in any terrain. The 3D.Glass construction provides noticeably more power transmission, higher torsional stiffness and improved edge grip and liveliness. In addition, the binding is mounted much closer to the edges of the ski. This ensures a more direct and continuous release of energy to the edges. As a result, wider skis are more agile and at the same time have better control. They react more directly to the rider's impulses and translate the edge pressure from above into a precise and powerful skiing style Z value: 4.0 - 12.0 3D.Glass: Völkl's latest development 3D.Glass once again enables an improvement in the handling characteristics and stability of a ski, especially in difficult snow conditions. Compared to a classic glass construction, the three-dimensional and multi-folded fabric layers in the binding area provide increased edge grip and a more lively springback of the ski in curves. UVO: For the first time, UVO offers freely rotating 360° damping for the ski: increased smoothness with greater precision and more control than ever before. The uneven terrain under the ski generates unavoidable vibrations, which are then transmitted to the ski's shovel and cause the ski to vibrate. Of course, this significantly disturbs the smooth running of the ski and more effort is required to keep the ski steady, especially on the edge. The revolutionary UVO technology works against this. It noticeably reduces the undesirable vibrations on the ski over the entire surface without negatively affecting agility. 3D.Ridge Core: A plywood combination of a full sensor wood core and light plywood specially designed for the 3D.Ridge construction. 3D.Ridge: The wood core is raised in the middle of the ski and extremely flattened towards the sides. This results in an enormous reduction of weight and gyrating mass, while at the same time maintaining the stability of the ski. The 3D.Ridge technology stands for the most extreme and effective construction available at the moment. It has since become the trademark of VÖLKL lightweight construction. A characteristic feature is the raised centre bar, which flattens out to the maximum in front of and behind the binding towards the edge. This reduces the flywheel mass around the pivot point to a minimum and significantly increases the agility of the ski. At the same time, the center bar allows for an exact design of the hard curve, resulting in a 3D.RIDGE particularly harmonious flex curve of the ski. Despite the weight reduction, the 3D.Ridge design does not negatively affect the load and durability of the ski in any way. Powered by Steel: A steel layer in the ski provides very good durability, controlled flex and smooth skiing at faster speeds Base P-Tex 2100: Sintered, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene base with high density, excellent wear resistance and very good gliding properties Full 3D.sidewall
