The Ortles Hybrid TWR Jacket M by Salewa is the perfect choice for demanding alpine routes in mixedterrain, whether on rock, ice or snow. This state-of-the-art insulation jacket offers optimal protection and comfort to keep the body warm during changing efforts and cold outside temperatures. The jacket is characterized by its hybrid bodymapping structure, with Durastretch inserts on the back and sides for maximum freedom of movement. The 22% wool content in these inserts also guarantees a particularly comfortable fit.
The strategically placed insulation areas are made from TirolWool® Responsive, a material made from the valuable wool of Tyrolean mountain sheep and enhanced with thermoreactive minerals. These minerals recycle the far infrared energy (FIR) emitted by the body and slowly release it again, ensuring long-lasting, sustainable warmth. Even when wet, the insulation remains effective and keeps the body warm.
For additional protection in adverse weather conditions, the jacket is equipped with a fitted, insulated hood that can be adjusted at the back. If the intensity of the activity or the temperatures rise, the jacket can be stowed away in its own pocket to save space. In addition, the jacket is part of the Salewa Committed collection and has a PFC-free DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish, which makes it particularly environmentally friendly.
