The Solar Ultra 2 Wmns from Rab combines technical innovation and sustainability in a high-performance sleeping bag. This unisex sleeping bag has been specially developed for cyclists and is made from quick-drying nylon. The 20D Atmos™ recycled nylon ripstop fabric with fluorocarbon-free DWR coating ensures durability and resistance. The integrated TILT technology reduces the loss of radiant heat by up to 15%, which significantly improves thermal insulation without compromising the breathability or weight of the sleeping bag.
With its three-layer concertina-like quilt structure made from 100% recycled Stratus™ Eco insulation material, the Solar Ultra 2 offers excellent thermal performance, comparable to down, but in a lighter, featherless construction. The elastic inner lining fits closer to the body and eliminates cold bridges, while the offset quilting minimizes the risk of cold transmission. The ¾-long YKK main zipper with synthetically insulated wind protection chamber keeps the warmth inside, and the adjustable thermal collar provides additional comfort and heat retention.
With its reduced volume and tapered mummy shape, the Solar Ultra 2 is ideal for quick adventures with minimal equipment in cold conditions. The sleeping bag is compact and easy to stow thanks to the included compression pack sack. The EN temperature rating shows that the sleeping bag is optimal at comfort temperatures of 2°C and a limit of -4°C, while the extreme limit is -21°C.
