Made for alpine adventures and steep climbs, the KnifeRidge Pants made of Polartec Powershield Pro are incredibly breathable and protect against wind and weather.  If your backcountry needs are stable (high mountains, weather protection, vapor permeability, snow and ice), KnifeRidge Pants are perfect - they breathe like a softshell and protect like a hard shell. This functionality is made possible by their completely taped, lightweight and elastic 3-layer Polartec® Power Shield® Pro material, which provides protection against all weather conditions - except during a cloudburst. The soft, supple material glides easily over the next layer and is abrasion-resistant; its elasticity and ergonomic cut allow full freedom of movement. Features include a dropseat with waterproof 2-way side zips that also provide ventilation, a fly with 2-way zipper, a leg pocket on the right with waterproof zipper and welded-in stretch mesh insert, belt loops, removable braces and a fastening loop at the back (for jackets with fixing straps). The slim lower legs have calf-high zips with bellows insert, adjustable single cuffs with two press studs to match alpine and ski boots, adjustable elasticated drawstrings, a robust edge protector and an integrated RECCO® reflector.
