Mammut Alugator Ultra

The Alugator Ultra from Mammut is one of the lightest aluminum shovels on the market, ideal for ski touring and freeskiing. Winner of the ISPO Award 2023, it combines modern design and innovative materials to create an unbeatable unit. The shovel is made of ultra-light, only 1 mm thin 7075 aluminum, which is also used in air and space travel, and offers a welded construction for maximum efficiency without compromising on performance.
The telescopic handle with double-T cross-section ensures optimum lateral- and torsional rigidity as well as outstanding grip. The hardened and anodized aluminium shovel blade is equipped with stabilization ribs that ensure particularly high stability. The straight back of the shovel blade makes it easier to cut snow profiles, while the space-saving design of the shovel blade ensures that the shovel fits easily into a small backpack.
The Alugator Ultra is equipped with a symmetrical T-handle for efficient power transmission and an automatic lock-locking mechanism for fast, precise guidance during assembly. The sharpened, tilt-resistant shovel blade with integrated step grids enables easy handling in emergency situations.
