With Heyday the Houdini design team set out to build a shell that allows you to really push your limits and get the most out of a life in the mountains. Heyday Pants are 3D shaped with Made to move technology to facilitate the movements of mountaineering and backcountry skiing. How does it work? Heyday is a fully featured and super durable pair of shell pants disguised in a minimalistic design with a soft, smooth and silent aura. The touch of the material is different from most performance shells — it’s soft, stretchy and silent, making you hear none of crackling fabrics but every sound of nature around you. These are true mountaineering workhorse pants that meet the demands of any mountain guide or pro freeskier. Heyday Pants are equipped with zippers that go all the way from top to bottom of the leg, making them super easy to take on and off even with your boots or skis still on. All seams and zippers are taped for water protection. The light and smooth material is reinforced at the bottom of the legs with Schoeller® patches to deal with wear from boots and skis. Heyday Pants are PFAS-free, circular and made from recycled and recyclable fibers. When should I use them? Take them climbing, mountaineering, backcountry skiing or ski touring. Heyday Pants are made for serious adventures and a rugged life in the mountains. Even if you’re not a professional mountaineer spending 300 days a year on the mountain, you will thrive in these pants that are guaranteed not to limit your adventurous endeavors. You don’t wear these super-durable pants out in a hurry, but if you eventually do — please don’t throw them away. Heyday Pants are made from recycled and recyclable fibers. Care instructions
- Airing laundry instead of washing saves water and energy and extends the life of the garment. Be sure to wash your shell if it has been used in salt water or has become very sweaty or dirty, as this will weaken the garment's performance. This can reduce the breathability of the fabric and damage the water repellent surface. The dirt can even allow moisture to seep through the fabric.
- Use our wash bagz to protect your clothes and prevent fibers from leaking. When cleaning the bag and filter in the machine, make sure you clean it and throw the lint in the trash can. Never rinse it in water, as we don't want the fibers to end up in lakes or oceans.
- Machine wash cold
- There are special detergents for shells, but mild detergents certified as environmentally friendly work just as well. Use the right dose.
- Avoid fabric softener. This is not only harmful to our environment, but also negatively affects the performance of clothing, especially moisture transport and breathability.
- Hang the shell out to dry. Just remember to apply heat to the garment after washing to reactivate the water repellent surface of the shell fabric. Use a drying cabinet, dryer or iron. Make sure that the heat is well dosed so that the garment does not melt.
- You can reapply or reinforce the water repellent treatment as needed with a wash or spray. Always use an organic DWR: You can find both a spray and a wash in the webshop or in our stores.
- Remember to apply heat to the garment after washing to reactivate the water-repellent surface of the fabric.

Circular
This product is completely circularly produced. Means: It is made from either recycled and recyclable fibers. Most products in today's society have a linear life cycle where the earth's resources are extracted, used and then thrown away. This doesn't work in the long run and has a big impact on the environment. Instead, we want to close the production cycle and reuse materials we already have. But we need your help. If one day your Houdini apparel is completely worn out, please bring it back to us. We have recycling units in all Houdini stores and at many of our retailers.Recycled
At least 50% of the fibers in this product come from recycled sources. Either from recycled clothing or other origin, such as from PET bottles. We use mainly recycled polyester, which has many advantages. It reduces both CO2 emissions and water consumption compared to virgin polyester. By how much depends on the recycled type. One of our suppliers, for example, brings it to 32% reduced CO2 emissions and 94% lower water consumption for mechanically recycled polyester. In addition to the impact of production, Houdini's main approach is to reuse supposed "waste" as raw materials instead of original virgin crude.Recyclable
The material of this product is fully recyclable. Instead of becoming waste, the raw material can be used for new products. Our goal is to remove no more new raw materials from the earth's crust by 2030. Circular products made from recycled or recyclable materials can truly change the game of manufacturing culture.
