The unique `Fiberbrake' outsole, equipped with fiberglassgripinserts, provides outstanding traction in high-traffic areas. Even in icy temperatures, the special winter compoundrubber mix remains soft and grippy, while the aggressive tread lugs on the outside of the sole offer ideal grip on loose snow or slush.
The Bluestrait Mid ES impresses with its waterproof construction thanks to a PFC-free PU membrane and a robust three-layer laminate. The upper material is also PFC-free hydrophobized, while the soft lining is made from 70% recycled polyester, which makes the shoe particularly environmentally friendly. The '3D IPU' midsole construction ensures a perfect fit and a harmonious roll, while the raised sole edge provides additional support.
Special attention is paid to the comfort zone of the shoe: the insole is made from odor-inhibiting and insulating merino wool, which is mulesing-free, and recycled PU foam. The upper material combines high-quality Perwanger suede leather with terracare® nubuck leather from the Josef Heinen leather factory and a 100% recycled upper fabric, which not only ensures durability but also conserves resources.
