The Black Diamond Serac is a lightweight 12-point crampon available in three different configurations, making it suitable for almost any type of mountain boot. It was designed primarily for the variable, moderate terrain of classic alpine routes. The Serac's revised stainless steel construction incorporates a robust yet lightweight design for modern mountain boots. Horizontal front tines provide a secure grip on icy steps, while the classic secondary tines at the front and back provide stability on descents and in sloping terrain.
