First priority: protection for winter sports enthusiasts
Since developing the first safety binding over 60 years ago, Marker has contributed to the development of ski bindings with groundbreaking designs and innovative technologies. All bindings are developed and tested to the highest standards in close cooperation with the most renowned ski manufacturers, and are constantly adapted to the latest standards and requirements. In addition to the safety aspect, the bindings also provide good damping and shock absorption on hard, icy slopes.
Marker has set itself the goal of developing products that offer winter sports enthusiasts protection and comfort. With over 60 years of experience in these areas, the traditional Upper Bavarian company from Straubing has expanded its product range to include helmets, ski goggles and protectors in 2013. Since then, the collection has been continuously expanded with new models. Under the name MDV Sports, Marker also works with the ski brand Völkl and the ski boot manufacturer Dalbello.
Innovative technologies in all products
In terms of performance and protection, Marker manufactures products of the highest quality that offer maximum safety. To achieve this, the binding specialist constantly develops its products and uses innovative technologies.
For helmets, Marker has developed a special protection technology together with the University of Bologna. The so-called MAP technology (Multi-impact Adaptive Polymer) is characterized by a foam in honeycomb technology with versatile absorption properties. MAP is pleasantly soft and flexible. In the event of an impact, the material stiffens within fractions of a second while the impact is still taking place. This protective effect is increased by the special material properties, which make the principle work even when force is applied simultaneously.
Marker eyewear also impresses with its optimum fit and high functionality. They are equipped with the MarkAIR VENT SYSTEM, which ensures that the lens of the spectacles is well ventilated and thus remains dry and fog-free.
The new sole binding system GripWalk
In the bindings sector, Marker has launched the GripWalk technology, which has already been adopted by many manufacturers. These are strongly profiled, non-slip soles, which provide improved rolling of the foot by rounding off, thus making it easier to walk with ski boots. Integrated, rigid pads allow optimal power transmission and a precise release function of the binding. The entry into GripWalk bindings is as usual. GripWalk bindings do not require height adjustment, even with normal alpine boots. GripWalk bindings are therefore compatible with all ski boots. However, please note that shoes with GripWalk soles cannot be used with conventional alpine bindings that do not carry the GripWalk logo.
