LEVEL Thermoplus: Find the right level of warmth
Warmth is not the same for everybody. Yet all skiers and snowboarders agree that keeping your hands warm is essential for a good time on the slopes. This is why the Italian glove expert LEVEL has developed the Thermoplus system with various levels of warmth for their gloves. We show you, how it works and how it helps you choose the right ski glove for your needs.
LEVEL's Thermoplus Technology
Specially selected materials form the heart of the technology. The number of layers as well as the combination of various textiles for the outside and the inlays of the gloves determine how much warmth they offer.
LEVEL has created five levels of warmth, separated into the following categories:

Thermoplus 1000: Light insulation for temperatures down to -5°C
- Thermoplus 2000: Standard insulation for temperatures down to -10°C
- Thermoplus 3000: Warm insulation for temperatures down to -17°C
- Thermoplus 4000: Very warm insulation for temperatures down to -22°C
- Thermoplus 5000: Extra warm insulation for temperatures down to -30°C
What all the levels have in common is excellent fit, plenty of comfort, durability and breathability to prevent overheating. Furthermore, Thermoplus has been scientifically tested under the auspices of the DICAM Department of Bologna University in Italy to prove both the performance and effect of the various gloves.

Which glove is right for you?
Choosing the right glove depends on a number of factors that go beyond just warmth. The design is just as important, which is why LEVEL offers a lot of variations and colors in their range. All you need to do is pick the style you like, as well as your preferred warmth level.
Thermoplus 1000 gloves such as Ski Alper Light are best suited for milder days on the slopes or for skiers, who don’t tend to get cold easily.
Thermoplus 2000 is the standard and represents medium warmth. Gloves such as the Shaman are perfectly suited for you, if your hands tend to get cold easily, but the temperature outside isn’t extremely low yet.
Made for controlled warmth without overheating are the gloves with the Thermoplus 3000 certificate, such as Jolie for women or the unisex Rover. Suited for temperatures down to -17°C, they are among the more popular choices for regular slope adventures.
If the temperatures drop even further and you easily feel the cold, you should choose Thermoplus 4000 gloves, such as LEVEL Off Piste Leather, as they guarantee cozy temperatures even in icy conditions.
Finally, LEVEL’s Thermoplus 5000 certificate is given to gloves that offer maximum warmth. Those models have been designed for very harsh weather conditions and typically get used for Freeski adventures, on very high altitudes or by people, who are extremely sensitive to the cold. If you are looking for the highest level of warmth, then the Alaska model might be right for you.

Warmth & Sustainability
Warmth and protective qualities are important, of course, but so is taking care of the planet. For this reason, LEVEL has its own sustainability program, which aims to leave a positive environmental impact.
Part of the program is the brand’s “Green Choice” range, made from at least 50 % recycled or organic materials. Gloves that were mentioned above such as Jolie, Rover or Off Piste Leather are all part of this sustainable line.
The goal is to increase the amount of recycled materials long-term without losing the durability and warming qualities of the gloves.
