LEKI poles: Support for ski tours
Ski touring without touring poles? No way. The equipment provides more safety, supports your balance and enables you to move forward quickly. The quality of the touring poles plays a major role. For ambitious ski tourers and those who would like to become one, we present the LEKI Guide 2 ski touring model in detail.
Ski touring poles: What matters
Winter sports enthusiasts know that ski poles and ski touring poles are not the same thing, even though both are used in the snow and share some characteristics. An ergonomic grip is a must for both and lightness is also an advantage.
The length of the poles is also enormously important for many, and should at best be adjustable to better adapt to the given terrain. After all, a different pole length is needed for the ascent than for the descent. Sometimes there are differences of up to 10 cm!
In short, high-quality ski touring poles are light, robust, stable and individually adjustable to give you the best possible support in powder snow. The pole specialist LEKI attaches great importance to all these characteristics and designs equipment that adapts to the needs of athletes and their activities in the best possible way.

New: LEKI Guide 2
Brand new in the LEKI touring pole range is the Guide 2 model. The predecessor has been further optimised for the 2022/23 winter season and is now equipped with Aergon Air grip for more comfort and control. The special cavity technology enables a particularly lightweight construction with simultaneous robustness thanks to the high-strength aluminium housing. For you, this means more support on different terrains on the mountain without much weight.
The Guide 2 poles are also designed for control and flexibility. For a secure grip, the back of the handle is fully rubberised and thanks to the handle extension you can easily grip on steep terrain or traverses. In addition, the Speed Lock 2 plus feature allows you to effortlessly adjust the poles between 110 and 150 cm with gloves on. The large support surface is particularly useful for steep hairpin bends in the ascent.
If you are looking for lightness and ease of use, the Guide Lite 2 is the right choice. Compared to the Guide 2, this model is slightly shorter and lighter, but promises the same practical features.
The third model in the Guide 2 range is the LEKI Guide Lite 2 Carbon. Unlike the Guide Lite 2 model, the lower tube section is made of reinforced aramid carbon. This makes the model slightly heavier than the Guide Lite 2, but it is still around 10 g lighter than the Guide 2 model. The decision ultimately depends on your personal preferences and needs when ski touring.
