The down specialist
After years of close cooperation between Nordisk and Yeti, the brands have joined forces to create a unified outdoor brand. However, the well-known red Y will continue to decorate the brand's high-quality products and still stands for the best quality, albeit under the new name Y by Nordisk.
With over 120 years of experience, Nordisk is a specialist in the manufacture of down products. Only European down from certified and traceable free-range farming is used, as well as upcycled. Since down tends to collapse when wet and as a result the insulation is no longer guaranteed, Nordisk introduced the Crystal Down® Dry technology back in 2014, whereby the down is treated with DWR technology and is thus hydrophobic. Consequently, sleeping bags and jackets with down filling are also suitable for inconsistent weather.
