VAUDE Men's Green Core Insulation Vest

Naturally warm with kapok plant down. This vest in urban look serves as a versatile warming layer for outdoor and leisure activities on cold days. As insulation material we use the new fibre PrimaLoft® Silver Insulation Natural Blend. It consists of a mixture of kapok fibres and polyester, whereby approx. 2/3 come from recycled PET bottles. Kapok is a fluffy, fine plant fibre that looks like cotton wool and provides natural warmth, which is why it is also known as plant down. When blended with polyester, the insulation material offers excellent moisture management, dries quickly and is particularly durable. As outer fabric we use our Durable Organic Cotton in the upper part of the vest. This is a tightly woven, particularly robust and highly breathable cotton fabric made from GOTS-certified organic cotton. If the fabric gets wet, it swells slightly and forms a natural barrier to rain. In the lower part of the jacket a light and robust recycled polyamide fabric offers protection against wind and moisture. It is made from material leftovers from textile production. The side elastic inserts ensure good freedom of movement and optimum fit. The 2-way-zippers are made of EcoPaxx®, a bio-based synthetic material. To save resources, it consists of 70% castor vegetable oil.
