The Ultra Fastpack III shoes are a real eye-catcher because they are designed for fast hikes where the boundaries between trail running and hiking become blurred. That's why they are made of a light, abrasion-resistant, woven upper material that is optimized for rough and rocky trails. And from 2020, we will use the breathable, waterproof FUTURELIGHT™ material. Thanks to the nanoparticulate membrane, the material is extremely breathable, so you can benefit from a waterproof shoe for quick hikes in all weather conditions without getting too warm and sweaty feet. Unlike paved roads, hiking trails can be dusty, rocky, gravelly or wet, slippery, swampy or muddy. The Ultra Fastpack III shoes are suitable for all these conditions. They have a sewn-on tongue that keeps dirt out; toe caps made of TPU reduce the risk of pressure points on the toes or the loosening of toenails. Vibram® Megagrip soles provide grip in all conditions. The OrthoLite™ insoles retain their cushioning force even in the event of strong impacts and ensure comfort at high speeds. The patented FastFoam™ with two degrees of hardness in the midsole offers reaction speed and stability and supports the arch of the foot. EVA foam rubber provides a soft but energy-absorbing tread and ESS shafts provide torsional stiffness and grip on uneven surfaces.
