Thanks to the innovative AST u2013 Adaptive Shape Technology u2013 the shoe adapts perfectly to any foot shape and offers outstanding climbing performanceu2013 thanks to the Edge Frameu2013 technology and the Vibramu2013 Megagripu2013 outsole with climbing zone.
The features of the Sulfur NBK WS leave nothing to be desired: The Gore-Texu00ae Extended Comfort membrane provides waterproof and breathable protection in all weathers, while the anatomically shaped Ortholiteu00ae footbed offers maximum comfort and long-lasting performance. The Vibramu00ae Megagripu2122 sole ensures unparalleled grip on dry and wet surfaces, making the shoe the perfect choice for demanding tours. The Climbing Zone at the toe of the boot enables increased precision and edge power, ideal for steeper rock faces.
In addition, the midsole with its dual-density EVA component ensures optimum cushioning and ground adaptation, which significantly increases walking comfort. CLIMBING PRECISION
By combining adaptive memory foams with pre-molded thermoplastic inserts and an Ortholite footbed, the AST - Adaptive Shape Technology - adapts the Sulfur precisely to any foot shape. The Sulfur is built around an anatomical last and is equipped with Edge Frame technology and a Vibram®Megagrip™ outsole with climbing zone, which significantly improves climbing performance.CLIMBING PERFORMANCE MEETS HIKING WALKABILITY
The Edge Frame plate placed above the midsole provides rigidity and support when climbing, while still allowing the shoe to flex freely when walking. The result: Climbing performance meets hiking walking function. The longitudinal elements promote stiffness and torsional stability in the toe and midfoot area. The crossed cut-out arrangements allow more flexibility in the midfoot area.HIKING COMFORT
The midsole consists of two different densities. The softer EVA component at the heel provides cushioning and ground adaptation to ensure optimal walking comfort. The midsole and outsole are equipped with a forward-facing sole profile to enable a smoother transition from the heel to the toes and thus longer walking with greater comfort.
