- VIBRAM® XS TREK EVO™ OUTSOLE: The XS Trek EVO™ outsole is a complex adaptive design developed together with our partner Vibram®. The sole has four different areas with specific functions. The outer lugs are responsible for ground adaptability and stability in different mountain terrain. The inner lugs provide multidirectional traction, while the front half-climbing zone offers improved technical approach performance. Finally, the self-cleaning channels keep the sole free of dirt and mud.
- PU RAND: A light rubber rand protects the toes and lateral and medial areas from abrasion caused by rocks and scree. This increases safety and durability on demanding terrain.
- METALLIC HOOKS + EYELETS: Metal eyelets ensure even lacing and enable quick and precise adjustment in the instep area. Lace stoppers at the start of the instep fix the fit, while open hooks on the tongue and shaft collar offer maximum freedom of adjustment in the upper area.

ALL DAY COMFORT
By combining adaptive memory foams with pre-molded thermoplastic inserts and a pre-shaped footbed, AST - Adaptive Shape Technology - adapts the Forge precisely to any foot shape. Based on an anatomical last, the Forge holds the forefoot and heel firmly in place to provide all-day comfort on long treks in technical terrain.GROUND VERSATILITY
The Forge is equipped with a Vibram® XS Trek Evo™ sole that adapts to a variety of wet and dry terrains. The lugs on the edge of the sole ensure perfect ground adaptation and stability on all types of terrain. The lugs on the inside of the sole improve multidirectional traction. The semi-climbing zone increases climbing performance and self-cleaning channels keep the sole free of mud and debris.STABLE SUPPORT
The Forge is equipped with a polypropylene stiffening element placed over the outsole and midsole for stability and support on uneven technical terrain with heavy packs, while an ESS plate sits under the compressed EVA midsole to protect the forefoot area from sharp rocks.
