The facts at a glance
Swix HS5 Turquoise, -10°C/-18°C, 60g
The HS5 Turquoise from Swix is an outstanding glide wax from the High Speed series, specially designed for cold conditions. Developed for younger racers and ambitious recreational skiers, it offers high performance and remarkable durability. This product is ideal for alpine skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing and ensures improved gliding of the skis, even at extreme temperatures between -10°C and -18°C. Notably, the wax is fluorine-free and 100% biodegradable, making it an environmentally friendly choice for all skienthusiasts.
The HS5 is not only perfect for competitions, but also for training sessions. Thanks to its dry friction properties and ease of application, it is effortless to apply. The melting point makes it easy to apply without compromising the excellent gliding properties. The application is very simple: The waxing iron should be used at a temperature of 160°C and the speed of the iron should be around 8-10 seconds for a skating or alpine ski. After cooling down, the wax can be reheated for longer durability and then removed with a Plexiglas scraper.
The HS5 can be used both as a stand-alone racing wax and as a base wax for other racing products. It has been thoroughly tested under various conditions and offers an affordable option for those who have high demands on their ski wax products. The HS range is also available as a liquid product, which offers additional flexibility in application.
