"The Compass Type 1933 is a traditional ruler compass inspired by the classic Silvacompasses from the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s. It has modern features such as a global compass needle, an integrated magnifying glass and a non-slip compass ring made of robust CNCaluminum and comes in retropackaging. The type 1933-compass is a tribute to Silva's founders, the Kjellstru00f6m-bru00fcders, who launched the first Silva-compass together with Gunnar Tillander in 1933. The compass is inspired by Silva's older compass models from the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s. It features a detachable red strap and comes with a gray felt case in retro packaging design with Silva's fresh logo and graphics. Type 1933 has a retrolook with modern features such as a global compass needle, an easy-to-grip compass ring made of sturdy CNCaluminum with rotating compass housing, integrated magnifying glass and luminous markings for navigation in the dark. It has a map scale of 1:50 000 and 1:25 000 in millimeters and inches and is therefore compatible with most maps. The Type 1933 is made of a durable material that can withstand harsh weather conditions."
