Sea to Summit Traverse Tvii

The Traverse Tvii from Sea to Summit is a robust and versatile synthetic fiber sleeping bag that literally "won't leave you out in the rain". It is suitable for unisex use and has a WaveLoft and THERMOLITE insulation construction that guarantees maximum warmth and durability. The Free-Flow Triple-Zip system ensures high thermal efficiency and offers versatile ventilation settings. A full-length YKK #5 zipper on the main side that runs down to the foot box, a half zipper on the right side and a zipper on the foot box offer numerous ventilation options. This allows you to open the Traverse completely and use it as a blanket.
The hood with drawstring keeps the cold out and the warmth inside, which is particularly beneficial on cold nights. The environmentally friendly PFC-free impregnation allows water and dirt to simply roll off the outer shell, making the sleeping bag easier to care for and extending its lifespan. In addition, the Traverse Tvii can be zipped together with the Altitude, Journey or Venture sleeping bag models from Sea to Summit to offer even more flexibility and comfort.
Another advantage is the lightweight 70D nylon compression bag included in the scope of delivery, which makes it easier to transport the sleeping bag and reduces it to a compact size. Whether in cold temperatures or on mild nights, the Traverse Tvii always offers you the perfect combination of warmth, comfort and versatility.

Technologies and manufacturing processes

  • WAVELOFT CONSTRUCTION

WaveLoft is a unique construction technology that maximizes loft and minimizes the weight of the insulation. Instead of conventional flat insulation layers (sewn flat on top of each other) or shingled layers (sewn diagonally overlapping), WaveLoft creates curved layers that expand from the shell to trap the maximum amount of air, at a lower overall weight than existing synthetic insulation constructions. WaveLoft is used in all Sea to Summit synthetic insulated sleeping bags, regardless of price point.
  • THERMOLITE HL-1

Thermolite HL-1 is part of the family of Thermolite materials used in Sea to Summit sleeping bags, sleeping bag liners and sleeping mats. HL-1 high-loft insulation is a fiberfill constructed with a unique 3D crimp of hollow-core and solid fibers that provides excellent, lightweight warmth with superior durability. Thermolite insulation molds into the air-sprung cells of our sleeping mats, preventing convective heat loss from your warm body to the cold ground.
  • ZIPPER COUPLING

Down and synthetic bags marked with our zipper symbol feature a 65-inch #5 full-length YKK zipper that allows a unisex, left-handed bag and a women's-specific, right-handed bag to be joined together. This allows each person to sleep in their own sleeping bag and take advantage of the unique insulation zones, hood and foot box - perfect for cozy adventures for two. Sleeping bags with full-length #5 YKK zippers on both sides can also be connected to other sleeping bags.
  • FREE FLOW ZIP

Our Free Flow construction with three zippers ensures that your sleeping bag offers maximum warmth and efficiency or a variety of ventilation options, depending on your needs. The (half) zipper on the right side of the sleeping bag (left side for women's specific sleeping bags) provides freedom of movement for both arms, extra ventilation and allows you to fold down (the top third) of the sleeping bag as a (mini) quilt when it gets warmer than expected.
