Scarpa Generator Mid

Specially developed for men, this mid-cut climbing shoe combines stiffness in the forefoot with flexibility from the midfoot upwards, making it perfect for crack and alpine climbing. Thanks to the midcut shank height, it offers additional protection for the ankles, even in wider cracks. The precise lacing system allows for individual adjustment, while the excellent edge stability ensures maximum performance. The padded tongueand toe area increases comfort, even on long climbing days.

Technologies and manufacturing processes

Active Randing
The Bi-Tension Active Randing System is a tensioned rubber that extends backwards on both sides of the shoe to the heel. It keeps the tension under the toes right into the arch of the foot and promises maximum flexibility and optimum resilience.
TRI-TENSION
Tri-Tension Active Randing System provides built-in support for the foot while still allowing flex for smearing.
PAF
The PAF (Pressure-Absorbing-Fit) system is an innovative system that distributes heel tension while improving fit at the heel. The strong tension band is interrupted behind the heel to reduce pressure on the Achilles tendon. There, it is connected to a softer rubber that acts like a "bridge" and allows for a full fit to the individual heel shape. The holes at the top of the PAF act as indicators to tell you how much tension/support you have. 1-hole for light tension, 2-hole for medium tension, 3-hole for heavy tension.

XS-EDGE
The VIBRAM® XS Edge sole is used for shoes that are designed for precise grip, edge stability and strength. This material is also ideal for multipitch shoes.
