The WS Wildfire Edge Mid GTX by Salewa is the ideal shoe for women who want to rely on top performance for both hiking and climbing. This versatile approach shoe is equipped with the innovative Salewa Switchfit system, which allows you to quickly adjust the fit. Simply tighten the laces to compress the toe area for precise climbing or loosen them for more comfort when hiking. The built-in Edging Plate provides additional stiffness and precision when climbing, while the rest of the sole remains flexible to ensure a natural rolling motion and high comfort.
The mid-height upper of the Wildfire Edge Mid GTX is made of robust 1.6 mm suede and is supported by the Exa Shell and the 3F system, which together ensure optimum torsional stability, flexibility and fit. Inside, the GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort lining ensures lasting waterproofness and breathability so that moisture and sweat are reliably wicked away. An elastic gaiter provides additional protection against snow, debris and dirt.
The Pomoca Speed MTN Pro sole, made from a special Pomoca Butyl rubber compound, offers excellent grip and friction on various surfaces, whether dry or wet. The precise climbing area on the toe and the well-distributed tread blocks ensure a stable grip on soft surfaces such as mud and grass. The MFF+ footbed also allows the inner volume to be individually adjusted to further improve comfort. With a shoe heel of 11 mm and a weight of just 420 g per shoe, the Wildfire Edge Mid GTX is perfect for fast uphill climbs and demanding climbing passages.
