The SET VIA Ferrata Ergo TEX by Salewa is your perfect companion for challenging via ferrataadventures in the Dolomites and beyond. This via ferrata set has been specially developed for activities such as hiking, trekking, approach and climbing. It offers ergonomic and user-friendly handling thanks to the self-closing Ergotec 3.0 carabiners, which are equipped with an extra large opening. These enable quick and safe clipping and unclipping from the wire rope, even when wearing gloves. Thanks to their automatic locking mechanism, the carabiners prevent unintentional opening, which further increases safety.
The set is characterized by its compact, elastic belay arms, which are made of abrasion-resistant fabric and are connected to the tie-in loop via an efficient swivel joint. This swivel prevents the arms from twisting when clipped on and ensures close-to-the-body handling, making the climbing experience more comfortable and safer. The latching loop allows you to take a break if necessary and comfortably clip into the via ferrata.
The compact webbing energy absorber provides additional safety, while the set is supplied with a practical mesh storage bag. The robust construction of the set can withstand breaking loads of 7 kN transverse, 27 kN longitudinal and 14 kN open, and is therefore suitable for a user weight of 40 to 120 kg.
