The Sella Ski 3L Powertex Responsive women's jacket we have developed for the great adventures in the mountains. The longer cut, sporty fit offers plenty of freedom of movement thanks to ergonomic cut patterns. For this jacket, two different versions of Salewa's patented, waterproof and breathable Powertex outer layer have been processed to guarantee high functionality, light weight and durability.Excellent weather protectionSki touring in the Dolomites means mastering technical climbs, looking out for cornices and rocky outcrops while constantly searching for the ideal line. The 3-layer laminate construction was developed specifically for ski touring and is extremely abrasion resistant. The polyester-wool-blend fiber from which the Powertex fabric is made is characterized by its distinctive, pleasant feel, is very breathable and offers excellent weather protection. At critical wear points - that is, the hood, lower and shoulder areas, and underarms and pockets - we have reinforced the jacket with a heavier Powertex Responsive fabric with a water column of 20,000 millimeters. Both fabrics are finished with an eco-friendly, PFC-free finish.FIR textile technologyIn addition, the jacket offers improved thermoreactive performance through the use of Responsive technology, which provides more comfort, better performance and faster recovery. This is made possible by coating the inside of the lamita construction with a unique fabric print that contains special thermoreactive minerals. During activity, the body emits far infrared radiation (FIR), which is absorbed by the minerals and gradually released back into the muscle tissue. The effectiveness of Responsive technology has been tested in the laboratory and has convinced experienced mountaineers when used in the mountains. Mountain-specific detailsMountain-specific details include a storm visor hood with a comfortable, padded chin guard and an innovative hidden zippered magnifying wedge, so it always fits perfectly with or without a helmet. The jacket also features a direct-access double-zippered LVS gear pocket, waterproof YKK zippers and deep-cut side vents that extend to the bottom of the sleeves. Ample storage is provided by the two waterproof bellows pockets on the chest, two additional front pockets, a ski pass pocket on the sleeve and a large mesh pocket on the inside to keep skins or gloves dry.
