The model Randonnée is a versatile backpack for winter tours and alpine traverses. Climbing in winter is exciting and beautiful, but climbing long ascents or climbing with a backpack makes your body sweat as it wants to lower its temperature. This can leave your back and shoulders sweaty and hypothermic, especially when temperatures drop or the wind picks up when belaying or on descents. Our Dry Back Contact carrying system offers a breakthrough solution to this problem. It allows for higher transpiration per cm² than conventional constructions and reduces the temperature in the mid-back area by 1.6 °C after 15 minutes. This is due to the low body contact and the integrated micro ventilation system with 3D air channels that allow more air to circulate around the back. The result is long-lasting comfort for long days in the mountains. The Randonnée model also features other smart solutions that make it the perfect backpack for winter. Its robust ROBIC® material is a special, high-strength nylon fabric that is 60% more tear-resistant than conventional nylon backpack materials and can withstand almost anything, from rocks to crampons to ice tools. The proven Split Shoulder Strap system provides greater arm mobility than traditional backpacks and is an important feature on long climbs with skis and climbing skins or when moving overhead while climbing. This backpack is characterized by functional details such as a rope attachment, an ice axe attachment and multiple ski attachment options (both parallel and diagonal) that allow quick fixation without removing the backpack. There is a fleece-lined pocket for goggles to prevent scratching, a pocket in the flap, a separate side pocket for wet climbing skins and a special compartment for shovel and probe.
