This is where the Pedroc 2 TirolWool® Responsive Hybrid Jacket from Salewa comes into play: lightweight, warm and breathable, it has been specially developed for movement-intensive activities in cold temperatures. The jacket uses the innovative TirolWool® Responsive insulation, which offers an ideal combination of insulation and breathability and is made using Salewa's proprietary TirolWool® Hybrid technology.
TirolWool® Responsive combines the natural benefits of wool with modern thermoregulating technology. The wool comes from Tyrolean mountain sheep and is particularly functional: it warms even when wet, regulates body temperature and prevents unpleasant odors. Responsive, a mixture of thermoreactive minerals, is incorporated into recycled polyester fibers so that the fabric can convert body heat into infrared light, store it and gradually release it again. This promotes blood circulation and regeneration and prolongs insulation performance.
The jacket is made from a lightweight, wind-repellent nylon outer material with a water-repellent DWR treatment. The 50 gram TirolWool® Responsive insulation is used in the arms and chest area, while the double-woven Durastretch material in the underarm area ensures breathability, allows perspiration to evaporate quickly and dries quickly. Additional features such as an insulated hood, two zippered side pockets and a chest pocket offer practical storage space. The entire jacket can be stowed in its own side pocket and packed away in a rucksack. As a Salewa Committed product, the jacket is manufactured according to high environmental- and sustainability standards in order to leave the smallest possible ecological footprint.
