The Illuminati shellsuit is named after one of the most beautiful, difficult and fragile multi-pitch mix routes: the Illuminati route (M11+, WI6+, 5 pitches, 150 m) in Langental in the Dolomites, Italy. Designed for professionals The Illuminati is designed for experienced alpinists who travel in harsh environments. It has an exceptionally durable, waterproof and breathable Powertex construction with fully taped seams and a PFC-free DWR finish. The advantage of the suit: no snow or ice can get to your back. The sleeves have long ventilation zips down the side to the cuffs, and there's another ergonomically placed scalloped zipper in the back (in case you have a pressing need). The tight-fitting neoprene inner cuffs ensure that no water gets into your sleeves. And of course, the special cut and gusset design means you can move freely while climbing. The bright color is excellent in whiteout conditions and ensures that you are seen faster in an emergency. Powertex Responsive The innovative Powertex Responsive three-layer laminate used as shell material is highly abrasion-resistant, waterproof (water column : 20,000 mm), windproof and breathable (MVTR: 20,000 g/m²/24 h). On the inside is a special material print with a unique blend of thermoreactive Responsive minerals applied. These minerals absorb the body's far infrared radiation (FIR) and gradually release it back into the muscle tissue . Since the far infrared radiation penetrates fabric, this works even if you're wearing several other layers under the suit. The result: a stronger blood circulation, a higher cell performance and a better oxygen supply. As a result, you perform better, recover faster, and stay warmer longer. Responsive technology has been scientifically tested and proven by alpinists. Good to know: The print is a permanent material component and will not wash out. Optimized design The storm-proof hood fits over a helmet and can be adjusted with one hand, even when you're wearing gloves. This gives you optimal visibility at all times. For added protection, the stand-up collar is integrated into the hood. The suit has two spacious waterproof chest pockets that are not covered by your climbing harness, a large inner mesh pocket(for ski skins or gloves) and another inner pocket with thermal padding, handy for a mobile phone or other battery-powered devices.
