The special feature of the Fedaia AlpineWool women's jacket is its warm, hybrid wool blend fabric in Sarner knit pattern, which combines alpine tradition with modern design and innovative performance. The jacket is named after the famous Dolomite pass of the same name.Tradition & Innovation: Sarner KnittingWe combine tradition with innovation by bringing together the typical Sarner knitting pattern - a traditional South Tyrolean wool knitting technique used to produce a dense, warmer fabric with good wind and water-repellent properties - with modern material technology from SALEWA®. This gives us the lightweight AlpineWool® Iconic Sarner fabric, which combines the benefits of natural wool with the stylish look and great feel of traditional Sarner knitting, but is softer, lighter and better performing. The blended yarns are wool, viscose and polyamide with elastane, with the wool made from 100% recycled wool fibers.Comfort & Protection: Bodymapping designThe torso is backed on the inside with a bonded, soft and comfortable viscose lining, and an inner collar provides extra protection from cold mountain winds. A waterproof element made of innovative, 2-layer Powertex Wool weather protection material with integrated wool yarns and a PFC-free, durable water repellent (DWR) coating provides additional comfort and protection in the upper chest area. Sleeves made of pure AlpineWool® Iconic Sarner fabric without lining offer good breathability and plenty of freedom of movement.Functional detailsThe Fedaia features a slim-fit hood and two exterior zippered pockets. An additional zippered chest pocket is great for storing your smartphone.
