Warm yet lightweight fleece hoodie for women - designed for mountain activities, travel and everyday winter life. The Fanes TirolWool® Celliant® Hoody is a warm and at the same time light fleece hoodie made of a wool blend which combines ultra-modern functional textiles with alpine tradition. Fleece hoodies have been part of the standard equipment of every self-respecting mountaineer since the 1980s. Within the framework of Salewa's TirolWool® Celliant® technology platform, we have developed a hybrid wool yarn that has created a new generation of hybrid wool-mix fleece by spinning TirolWool® fibres with fine merino wool and recycled Celliant® polyester. This unique material is manufactured in Italy. Wool is the ideal alpine insulation material: its fine, crimped fibres let your skin breathe, at the same time trapping warm air and sucking moisture into their hollow cores, acting as a buffer between your skin and your clothing. By combining wool with synthetic fibres, we also achieve greater durability, improved elasticity and shorter drying times, while wool retains its proven odour control properties. Thermoreactive Celliant® Minerals absorb the heat emitted by the body and convert it into infrared radiation that is stored and re-emitted - so you can maintain your optimal body temperature for longer. Other features include a close-fitting hood, flat seams that reduce bulk and minimize chafing, lightweight stretch cuffs, and an elasticated hem that traps heat.
