The ERGO BELAY SYSTEM was developed together with Chris Semmel. As a publicly appointed and sworn expert for alpinism, climbing and avalanche accidents, instructor in the German mountain guide teaching team as well as in the teaching team of the DAV, he has significantly contributed his extensive knowledge and his many years of experience in the analysis of climbing accidents. The result is a belay device based on the tuber principle, which is independent of hand force due to its BLOCKING FUNCTION. Thus, the ERGO BS offers increased safety in the event of a fall compared to other belay devices. The device is designed to allow FAST ROPE OUT without unintentional blocking. At the same time, it also provides greater efficiency when belaying a leader, as well as smooth handling. The unique ergonomic design results in no need to reach around in any situation, and the BRAKE HAND PRINCIPLE NEVER GETS INFRINGED. When releasing, the speed can be simply DOSED. The simple, intuitive operation avoids errors and the operating principle is designed to avoid total failure even in the event of incorrect operation.
