The sharp, aggressive 3 mm blade made of precision-caststeel ensures reliable penetration in ice and snow, while the balanced weight distribution ensures good anchoring. The upper shaft is slightly curved, which not only improves the range of movement, but also enables effective penetration into steeper terrain. The robust, replaceable carbide tip at the lower end of the shaft offers optimum grip on hard snow or ice.
In addition, the Alpine-tec hammer is equipped with a sharpened shovel that makes it easier to pick steps- and ledges. The openings on the ice axe head and at the lower end of the shaft allow easy attachment to the carabiner. Made from anodized and hardened High-Tech aluminium 7075, T6, this ice axe stands for durability and reliability under extreme conditions. Certified according to CE EN 13089, B and UIAA 152, it meets the highest safety standards.
