The fantastic, white peaks of the Dolomites are home to an extraordinary range of high-altitude hiking trails. The Alp Trainer 2 from Salewa has been specially designed for them and is a low-cut hiking and trekking boot that offers complete comfort on long hiking days. The robust upper material made of high-quality suede is equipped with a 360°rubber rand that offers additional protection against rocks and debris.
The Vibram® Alpine Hiking outsole of the Alp Trainer 2 provides excellent grip and traction on a wide variety of mountain terrain. Thanks to its special climbing, traction and braking zones as well as the grippy and robust lug profile, it also impresses in wet and muddy conditions. Salewa's trademarked 3F system adapts to the foot and encloses it protectively. The steel cable provides firm ankle support and lateral stability, while the Climbing Lacing climbing lacing allows adjustment up to the toes to improve performance on the rock.
The EVAmidsole of the Alp Trainer 2 offers outstanding cushioning and excellent comfort for a technical shoe. With a weight of only 450 g per shoe (size 8 UK) and an 8 mm heel, this shoe offers optimal hiking comfort from the first step on. The reinforced rand and flex collar add to the durability and comfort, making this shoe an ideal companion for men on hiking and trekking adventures.
