Salewa Agner Hybrid RDS Down M Jacket
Salewa Agner Hybrid RDS Down M Jacket
The Agner Hybrid down jacket is a hybrid insulation layer for alpine climbing, where long, cold belay phases often follow high-intensity routes. Salewa's designers use body mapping to carefully tailor the design and materials to the body's insulation and heat exchange functions during the sweaty active and cool calm phases of alpine climbing. The hybrid construction thus developed warms only where the body needs it and puts an end to unnecessary insulation. The down (90/10-high-Loft with a fillpower of 750) is only on the torso, back and shoulders, while lightweight, abrasion-resistant stretch softshell is used in areas where climbers need more breathability and freedom of movement. But the real secret of the Agner Hybrid down jacket is the down chambers, which are welded rather than stitched in the usual way. Laser perforations between the partitions ensure that air can flow freely and excess body heat is dissipated. The result is a superior warmth-to-weight ratio with excellent compressibility. In addition, the Agner Hybrid down jacket is equipped with a lightweight hood that fits under any helmet and provides additional protection from cold wind. The underarms, sides, hem and hood are made of Salewa's new generation abrasion-resistant 4-Wege-Durastretch-Softshell and deliver the breathability and freedom of movement needed when climbing.
