Rab Expedition 8000 Mitts

Our expedition mittens were created for the most extreme terrain- and weather conditions at the lowest temperatures - whether at 8,000 meters altitude or on the polar caps. They offer our best thermal protection and are lightweight and flexible to wear. The mittens are filled with 850FP goose down on the back of the hand and equipped with double PrimaLoft® Gold insulation on the palm. This means they meet all the requirements for exceptional adventures.
The outer material is made of weather-resistant Pertex® Quantum Pro fabric with a textured leather palm for a better grip and maximum finger strength and durability - ideal when you're dealing with ropes and ice axes. The mittens are reinforced with 70Dnylon in high-wear areas and the lining is made of soft Pebblefleece for added comfort.
The mittens have flat cuffs that fit under or over jacket sleeves, adjustable straps, one-hand adjustable drawcords and detachable wrist straps. Thanks to Rab® fluorocarbon-free hydrophobic down, developed together with Nikwax®, your hands stay dry and warm even in wet conditions.
