Mammut Smart 2.0

The Smart 2.0 from Mammut is an innovative belay device that has been specially developed for climbing- and bouldering activities. Weighing just 80 grams, it is extremely light and user-friendly as it has no moving parts or levers. The device is based on the proven Tuber principle, which makes it suitable for both lead climbing and top rope climbing.
A key advantage of the Smart 2.0 is its ability to reliably block the climbing rope in the event of a fall. This is achieved by the newly developed high-performancebrakeinsert, which ensures maximum safety in combination with the recommended Smart HMS carabiner. The Smart 2.0 is suitable for rope diameters from 8.7 to 10.5 mm, making it versatile.
The optimized geometry and intuitive handling make the Smart 2.0 a must-have for every climber. It offers a significantly improved braking effect compared to the first generation, which was launched back in 2009. The belaying method is designed to correspond to the belayer's natural reflex movements, making it even easier to use.
