The facts at a glance
Mammut 8.0 Alpine Eco Dry Rope 50m
The 8.0 Alpine Eco Dry Rope from Mammut is an indispensable companion for anyone embarking on challenging alpine adventures. Whether mountaineering, climbing or ice climbing, this rope offers maximum safety and outstanding performance in extreme conditions. Thanks to the PFC-free Eco-Dry finish, the rope is permanently water- and dirt-repellent and meets the strict UIAA standards with a water absorption of less than 1.5 %. This ensures maximum safety and durability, even in the most adverse weather conditions.
With a diameter of just 8.00 mm and a weight of 44 g/m, the rope is particularly light yet extremely robust. The optimized abrasion resistance and the abrasion-resistant middle marking ensure that it lasts a long time even with intensive use. The rope is also tangle-free and ready for immediate use, which makes everyday climbing much easier. Thanks to its dual certification as a half and twin rope, it offers a wide range of uses and flexibility for various climbing techniques.
The high number of possible UIAA falls (9-14 with a strand of 55 kg) and the low impact force (5.6 / 9.0) make the rope a reliable partner in the vertical. The high sheath content of 41 % contributes to stability and durability, while the static elongation of 8.50 % provides the necessary flexibility. This rope is ideal for unisexadventurers who value safety, environmental friendliness and performance.
