Mammut 8.0 Alpine Dry Rope

The 8.0 Alpine Dry Rope from Mammut is a versatile double rope, ideal for ice climbing, mountaineering, multi-pitch and alpine climbing. It impresses with its robust construction, which combines low weight and a reduced diameter with high safety reserves. The rope is permanently water and dirt-repellent in accordance with the UIAA standard, which ensures maximum safety under the toughest conditions. With a UIAA water absorption of less than 1.5% and optimized abrasion resistance thanks to the Dry finish, it is ideally suited for extreme environments.
A particular highlight of the 8.0 Alpine Dry Rope is that it is tangle-free and ready for immediate use without having to be uncoiled before first use. It is dual certified as a half and twin rope, which offers additional flexibility and safety. With a diameter of 8 mm and a weight of just 43 g/m, the rope is lightweight yet extremely strong. It can withstand up to 9 UIAA falls with an impact force of 5.6/9 kN, making it a reliable partner in demanding climbing situations.
The rope has a first fall elongation of 31% and a static elongation as a half rope of 8.5%. The sheath content is 41%, which contributes to the longevity and durability of the rope.
