It can be used on shoes with a waterproof membrane (like Gore-Tex®) without affecting breathability. Being water-based, Nikwax Waterproofing can be applied to wet as well as to dry leather. Nikwax Waterproofing contains tanning agents and improves the resistance of leather against abrasions caused by moisture.
