Akyra is a waterproof footwear with GORE-TEX membrane for winter trail running. Structured and protective, it is suitable for ultra trails, ultra marathons and long training sessions in the cold season. Akyra is particularly enveloping, comfortable and protective and is designed for long missions in off-road terrain. The upper in water-repellent and non-slip mesh is very enveloping and structured with its 3 layers, which go from the inside to the outside, while the seamless construction provides comfort. The innovative MicroLite Skeleton™ applications, dynamically follow the movements of the foot and the structuring Flex-Guard™ applications minimize weight while providing a barrier against abrasion that can occur when running over roots and rocks. Exceptional stability is provided by TrailCage System™ technology, which is located between the two shank layers. It provides structure and good embedding of the foot and is integrated in the lacing system. The sole, developed by the la Sportiva R&D department has the new grippy shoe profile FriXion XT with Impact Brake System, has exclusive design and Trail Rocker technology, which supports the natural tread "heel outside - toe inside" during running. Cushioning, protection and comfort, 3 sides of a perfect geometry: the origami on which the general design is inspired. With Akyra, winter running becomes an art.

The La Sportiva FriXion® rubber compounds are designed to provide footwear professionals with different levels of grip and durability depending on the type of use and the surface.The La Sportiva FriXion series consists of 5 rubber compounds, which are used in the field of mountain running and climbing.
EVA - INJECTED
The injected sole has high damping properties and elasticity of the material. These properties supported the forward impression during running and therefore these models are particularly suitable for off-road trails. Injected EVA midsoles reduce compression phenomena of the midsole, which can appear with advancing life and thus allow the material to maintain the same performance characteristics.
Impact Break System
Innovative system on the sole to absorb the impact, also helps in the climb and assists in braking.Designed and developed in the research and development center of La Sportiva, it offers real benefits during the run: the negative effect of the impact with the ground is minimized. Due to the special arrangement of the pimples, some of them come into contact with the ground beforehand, so the impact of the shoe profile is softer.
