M's Out And About Shirt

Natural function in a timeless aesthetic, that's the principle behind the Out And About Shirt. With excellent thermal and moisture-wicking properties, the shirt lends incredible comfort to all adventures, all year round. The timeless look and versatile functionality are among the cornerstones of Houdini's design philosophy. We make garments that can be used for a variety of activities and will last you for years to come. The Out And About Shirt is a typical example of this. The product is made from Cham Treemerino, a blend of 49% merino wool and 51% Tencel®. The wool comes from Australia and is mulesing-free as well as Tencel® from the EU Eco Label in Austria. The textile provides warming insulation and on hot days it cools when worn directly against the skin. Tencel® also provides effective moisture management. The Out And About Shirt is a great choice if you're looking for a versatile shirt to accompany you on all your adventures. It is ideal for hiking, for example as a warming layer under your shell, or simply as a shirt for everyday wear.

Care instructions

  • Use our wash bag to protect your clothes.
  • Machine wash cold, preferably with a wool program.
  • If possible, use wool detergent. Otherwise, use mild, environmentally certified detergents and make sure you use the correct dosage. Choose a detergent that has a neutral pH and does not contain enzymes.
  • Avoid the use of bleaches and alkaline substances that increase the pH value. As well as the use of enzymes such as protease or amylase, as these can break down the wool that gives the material its natural performance properties. This also applies to silk.
  • Avoid fabric softener. This is not only harmful to our environment, but also has a negative effect on the performance of the clothing, especially on moisture transport and breathability.
  • Do not tumble dry.
  • Shape the garment after washing and lay flat to dry.

Technologies and manufacturing processes

  • Woolen material

Wool is a fantastic material with natural resistance to bacteria and dirt. Therefore, wool does not need to be washed after each use. Frequent washing has a negative effect on the properties of wool and wears out the garment unnecessarily. Instead, air your wool garments to reduce water consumption, save energy and extend the life of the garment.
  • Cham TreeMerino™

The lightweight chambray material made from merino wool and Tencel® offers upscale comfort and is unusually soft. The natural properties of the fibres offer a light and cooling wearing comfort on hot days as well as efficient moisture-regulating properties. It still warms in cool temperatures.
