M's Leeward Jacket

A jacket for everything: the Leeward Jacket. The waterproof and breathable Shell jacket is predestined for almost all activities in the four seasons. The jacket is very durable but lightweight, quiet and elastic. Houdini is counterbalancing the fast-paced consumer culture. Our goal is to produce clothing that lasts as long as possible. Timeless aesthetics, durable and resistant materials and easily repairable features. The Leeward Jacket is made for year-round use. It's light enough for trekking in the summer and strong enough for skiing in the winter. Looking for a hardshell jacket you can use for many years and maybe even pass down to your kids? Here it is. The Leeward Jacket is made from Loop Hardshell™ a waterproof and breathable shell fabric constructed from extremely dense fibers for long lasting durability. Compared to other materials of this strength, it is surprisingly lightweight. It has a matte finish and a mechanical 2-wege-stretch. The hardshell is made from 70% recycled fibers and is fully recyclable. The jacket has a helmet-compatible hood and ventilation zips under the arms. The Made-to-Move design concept gives maximum freedom of movement. The Leeward Jacket is a true workhorse. If you want a jacket that you can use all year round and do anything with, this is a good choice. The Leeward Jacket is recyclable and if one day you do wear it out (probably when there are flying cars) then bring it back to us for recycling. The raw material can be used for new products. We have recycling units in our stores and at our dealers.

    Care instructions

    • Airing laundry instead of washing saves water and energy and extends the life of the garment. Be sure to wash your shell if it has been used in salt water or has become very sweaty or dirty, as this will weaken the performance of the garment. This can reduce the breathability of the fabric and damage the water repellent surface. The dirt can even allow moisture to seep through the fabric.
    • Use our wash bagz to protect your clothes and prevent fibres from leaking. When cleaning the bag and filter in the machine, make sure you clean it and throw the lint in the bin. Never rinse it in water as we don't want the fibres to end up in lakes or oceans.
    • Machine wash cold
    • There are special detergents for shells, but mild detergents certified as environmentally friendly work just as well. Use the right dose.
    • Avoid fabric softener. This is not only harmful to our environment, but also has a negative effect on the performance of the clothing, especially on moisture transport and breathability.
    • Hang the shell out to dry. Just remember to apply heat to the garment after washing to reactivate the water repellent surface of the shell fabric. Use a drying cabinet, dryer, or iron. Make sure that the heat is well dosed so that the garment does not melt.
    • You can reapply or reinforce the water repellent treatment as needed with a wash or spray. Always use an organic DWR: You can find both a Spray and a Wash In in our webshop or in our stores.
    • Remember to apply heat to the garment after washing to reactivate the water repellent surface of the fabric.

    Technologies and manufacturing processes

    • Shell product with membrane

    • Loop Hardshell™

Robust material with mechanical stretch offers a high level of comfort. Resistant and quiet with a matte and supple finish. Waterproof, breathable and abrasion resistant ripstop construction.
    • Atmos™

Atmos Membrane™ is a hydrophilic non-microporous membrane. It allows moisture to escape on a molecular level. The more moisture it circulates, the better it wicks moisture away from the body. The Atmos membrane guarantees the high Houdini standard of function and sustainability that no other membrane on the market can match. The Atmos Membrane™ is made of polyester and completely free of harmful PFAS.
