Exped Scout Tarp Extreme

The Scout Tarp Extreme is the perfect tent alternative for minimalists. It’s extremely versatile, depending on wind direction, weather, and personal preference. Weighing just under 1 kg, this weather shelter can be set up using trekking poles or branches, or stretched between trees. Thanks to the many guy lines and stakes, as well as the elastic cord sewn into the hem, the tarp can be set up quickly, easily, and without wrinkles. When fully spread out, the tarp has an area of 3.5 × 2.9 m. When set up at a 45° angle as an A-frame, it provides a sheltered sleeping area of approximately 3.5 × 2.1 m. The stuff sack also serves as a storage bag for the center support.
