Named after the Hohe Sarstein, which lies between Upper Austria and Styria, the Dachstein Sarstein GTX lives up to its name. Because if you want to reward yourself with the panorama on the 1,975 meter high peak, you first have to prove fitness and surefootedness. This is where this hiking boot from Dachstein has found its terrain and reveals its strengths: the exclusive Vibram Serpent® sole is made for long hikes on demanding terrain. The specially arranged studs are one millimeter higher at the heel than at the forefoot. This not only improves grip when walking downhill, it also supports ergonomic rolling. The PU midsole absorbs shock, especially in the heel and toe areas. For comfortable wear and an optimal fit throughout the day, the anatomical tongue construction hugs the foot. For the upper, Dachstein uses the robust and technical Perwanger® suede from Italy. Additional protection from abrasion is provided by a Liba® smart toe guard. For weather changes or small detours through the mountain stream, the shoe is also equipped with the waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX membrane. The shoe is manufactured in Europe.
