A RECCO® reflector incorporated into clothing or equipment makes it possible to be found by professional rescue teams using RECCO detectors. RECCO® technology is a global standard in avalanche rescue and handheld detectors are used by professional rescue teams worldwide. RECCO SAR helicopter detectors are used from the air to search large areas very quickly for a missing person. The reflectors do not replace an avalanche transceiver or a companion rescue. How to measure
- 1. Collar circumference:Measured around the larynx. Measured at the level of the larynx. The tape should not constrict and must be passed around the neck horizontally.
- 2. Chest:Measure the circumference at the widest part of the chest (under the armpits)
- 3. Sleeve length:The distance from top of shoulder joint to arm wrist. Angle the arm slightly and pass the tape through the elbow as well.
- 4. Waist:Measured the waist circumference below the navel. The measuring tape should not constrict the belly keeping the tape horizontal around the body.
- 5. Hips:Measure the hips circumference at the fullest part of the seat keeping the tape horizontal around the body.
